About the project

Restoring access to the original script of Scripture

The Paleo-Hebrew Dictionary was created to give everyday readers, teachers, and students a clear and usable way to engage with the original script behind the Hebrew Scriptures. Many people feel called to go deeper, beyond translations and traditions, but struggle to find tools that are both accurate and approachable. This project exists to meet that need.

Rather than presenting Paleo-Hebrew as an academic specialty, this dictionary is designed as a practical reference—one that helps you recognize the script, sound out words, and understand their core meanings in a consistent, easy-to-use format.

By pre-ordering, you’re not just purchasing a book. You’re helping make a resource available to a growing community of people who want to reconnect with the language of Scripture in a way that is grounded, accessible, and spiritually meaningful.

When will the Paleo-Hebrew Dictionary ship?

We are currently targeting May 15, 2026 for shipment.

The manuscript is well underway, and pre-orders help fund the final stages of preparation and printing. We’ll send email updates at key milestones so you’re always informed as the project moves toward print.

What happens if the project does not reach print?

If we determine that the project cannot responsibly move to print—for example, if pre-orders are too low to support a quality hardcover run—all pre-orders will be fully refunded.

You’ll receive clear communication before any final decision is made.

Is this dictionary suitable for beginners in Hebrew?

Yes, especially for motivated beginners.

While some familiarity with Scripture or Hebrew is helpful, the dictionary is designed to be approachable. The layout, pronunciation guidance, and clear definitions make it useful for those just beginning their Paleo-Hebrew journey, as well as for teachers and study leaders introducing the language to others.

Will there be a digital edition?

Our current focus is on producing a durable, high-quality hardcover designed for desk study and long-term use.

A digital edition is under consideration, but no specific format or release date is being promised at this time. Supporting the print edition helps keep future options open.

Can institutions or bookstores place bulk pre-orders?

Yes.

If you’re ordering for a library, classroom, study group, or bookstore, please place your initial pre-order and then reach out to us. We’ll be happy to coordinate bulk pricing, invoicing, and shipping details.
